About
We met at Warsaw University of Technology — over the projects you do after hours, because they are more interesting than the ones on the syllabus.
Working together has one virtue: you find out very quickly who you can work with. We found out that we could — enough that after graduating we ended up at the same company, doing the same thing, only during working hours.

One of those projects was about charging electric cars. Usually a project like that ends with a defence and stays on a hard drive. This one we kept building — first in the evenings, then in fewer and fewer evenings — until it stopped being a project and became a device somebody actually plugs into a car.

Once the hardware started working in other people's hands rather than on a desk, the question of whether to build a company around it stopped being a question. That is how CHRG began.

About
The same people design the circuit board and write the software that runs on it. When something goes wrong there is nobody to blame and nobody to wait for — there is no line between the hardware vendor and the cloud vendor, because it is one company.
Because we know our own hardware down to the last resistor, most problems are solved by an update rather than a new unit. The same goes for new features: we do not wait for a manufacturer on the other side of the world to think of them.
Our chargers speak OCPP and our portal accepts other manufacturers' hardware. A closed ecosystem would suit us — and it would cost you your freedom of choice. You would be paying for our convenience.
Engineers in electronics, firmware and software. The same team takes a device from schematic to the update that reaches the customer.
